This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies runwithali.com uses, why, and how you can change your choice. For how I handle personal data in general, see the Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local or session storage, work in much the same way. On this page I call them all “cookies”.
Your choice
- Necessary cookies are always on. The site can’t work without them, so they don’t need your consent.
- Analytics and marketing cookies are used only if you agree. Until you do, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel aren’t loaded at all. I use Google Consent Mode v2 with analytics and advertising storage set to “denied” by default.
- In the cookie banner you can choose “Accept all” or “Necessary only”, or pick categories under “Settings”.
- You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing your consent doesn’t affect anything that happened before.
- I remember your choice for 6 months. After that, I ask again.
- If analytics and marketing tools aren’t switched on, the site uses only necessary cookies. In that case there’s no banner, and the “Cookie settings” link opens this page.
Legal basis: necessary cookies are allowed because they’re strictly necessary for the service you’ve asked for. All other cookies need your consent (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, § 89(3) of the Czech Electronic Communications Act and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Cookies I use
Necessary (always on)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
wordpress_logged_in_… | Run with Ali (WordPress) | Keeps you signed in to your account. | When you close your browser, or after 14 days if you stay signed in |
wordpress_sec_… | Run with Ali (WordPress) | Signs you in securely to your account. | When you close your browser, or after 14 days if you stay signed in |
wordpress_test_cookie | Run with Ali (WordPress) | Checks that your browser accepts cookies when you sign in. | When you close your browser |
rwa_consent | Run with Ali | Remembers your cookie choices. | 6 months |
rwa_preview | Run with Ali | Lets invited visitors see the site before launch. Set only if you open a preview link. | 30 days |
cf_clearance (only if bot protection is on) | Cloudflare | Protects forms against bots (Cloudflare Turnstile). Turnstile normally works with a one-time token. Cloudflare sets a cookie only if an extra check is needed. | As set by Cloudflare |
rwa_step_…, rwa_wa_… (session storage) | Run with Ali | Remembers which step of your analysis you are on and whether you already opened the WhatsApp check, so the page reopens where you left it. | When you close the browser tab |
The site may also save small pieces of information in your browser’s local storage when a feature you’re using needs it, for example to resume an interrupted video upload. This information stays on your device.
Analytics (only with your consent)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google (Google Analytics 4) | Distinguishes visitors with a random ID, so that I can count visits and see how the site is used. | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Google (Google Analytics 4) | Keeps track of your current visit (session). | 2 years |
rwa_p_<order> (local storage) | Run with Ali | Set only after you consent: makes sure a purchase is counted once in analytics and advertising reports. | Until you clear your browser data |
Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Marketing (only with your consent)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta (Meta Pixel) | Identifies your browser, so that Meta can measure my ads on Instagram and Facebook and show them to people who have visited my site. | 3 months |
_fbc | Meta (Meta Pixel) | Stores the click ID when you arrive by clicking one of my ads. | 3 months |
The Meta Pixel is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. If your browser allows third-party cookies, Meta may also read or set cookies on its own domains (for example fr, 3 months). See Meta’s Cookies Policy.
Cookies on other websites
- Payment: when you pay, you go to Stripe’s checkout page (checkout.stripe.com). Stripe uses its own cookies there, for example to process your payment and prevent fraud. See Stripe’s Cookie Policy. My site itself doesn’t load Stripe’s scripts.
- Booking: the booking page for the video call (Calendly or Cal.com) uses its own cookies. See Calendly’s or Cal.com’s privacy policy.
- WhatsApp: WhatsApp links (wa.me) open WhatsApp, where WhatsApp’s own policies apply.
Embedded sample videos
Some pages, such as the filming guide, show sample videos from YouTube or Vimeo. I embed YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and Vimeo with “do not track” switched on. When such a video loads or plays, your browser connects to YouTube (Google) or Vimeo, which receive your IP address and browser information.
In privacy-enhanced mode, YouTube says your views aren’t used to personalise your YouTube experience or ads. Vimeo’s “do not track” setting turns off its tracking of your viewing session. Both may still store some information in your browser. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Vimeo’s Privacy Policy.
Fonts
All fonts are hosted on my own server. Your browser doesn’t contact Google Fonts or any other font service.
How to delete or block cookies
You can delete and block cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, you won’t be able to sign in to your account. Changing your choice in “Cookie settings” stops new data being collected from then on. To remove analytics or marketing cookies that are already stored, delete them in your browser.
